Complete Grumman OV-1 Mohawk Propeller Sculpture — Herencia Aérea · Aviation Heritage Collection
A monument to power, symmetry and large-scale military heritage. This monumental sculptural installation has been developed from the complete set of three original propeller blades from a Grumman OV-1 Mohawk, the legendary twin-engine tactical observation and reconnaissance aircraft that marked a milestone in twentieth-century aerospace engineering.
Each of the blades, with an individual length of 1.50 meters, has been rescued from its operational state and has undergone a hand-crafted restoration process in our workshop. The high-density aeronautical aluminum alloy was carefully treated to heighten its torsional tensions and its original aerodynamic form. Reassembled at their central hub, the set spans a maximum diameter of 2.80 meters, establishing itself as a structure of maximum tectonic force and geometric precision. A masterpiece of industrial archaeology on an institutional scale, conceived by Estilo Hangar to preside over the entrance halls of global corporations, ultra-luxury residences or avant-garde architecture projects seeking an absolute statement of history and sophistication.
